Have you ever been injured during your triathlon training or racing? If so, what happened?

I've taken a more than a couple of injuries during training but never during a race so far.

What happens? You figure out if it's an injury you can work through without risking worse damage, you assess the best way to make it all go away, you move on and do what you can do.

That's one of the really cool things about triathlon, there is almost always something you could be doing to help you out.

Of course, if you are me, the reality of the situation is that you assess the injury, determine it would be better to slow down and heal/recover, and go hard anyway figuring that your body will just catch-up later.

ug.

My foot hurts.

I twisted my ankle several times but not during triathlon racing or training. Unfortunately, it still affected my triathlon training and racing.

Today finished off my first week of full training since my knee injury 6 weeks ago. I've been capable to swim and run (short distances) since the injury, but wasn't able to put together a full week of swimming, biking and running. So after my run this morning, it seems as if everything is back to standard. I felt a little low on the run, but that could be due to the massive hills that I was climbing (see elevation chart below).
