| How long have you been involved with triathlon? How much longer do you think you'll be involved? When will you stop racing in triathlons? |

I have been doing triathlons now for 3 years. I have done 11 of them so far. I have done the Wildflower long course twice, the escape from Alcatraz (however, I had a nasty spillon the bike at 40+ mph on the downhill and went to the hospital with a broken foot, scared body and road rash...thank god for helmits!!) and I will be doing the Escape from Alcatraz again this year.
I saw the 2004 Olympics while serving in Iraq and that got me motivated to do this sport. I have 7 half Irons under my belt and plan on doing a full ironman this year. The Vineman in Aug. _________________ ~Chris |

I've been doing triathlon for about 7 years now. I have done every distance except Ironman. I stopped counting how many races I've done. I was training for IM Canada last year, but broke my foot on two seperate occasions. Getting back into it this year starting with Wildflower. |

This is my first full season of triathlon.
I started last August with two short sprints (My First/My Next Triathlon) and then did Olympic distance at the Vancouver Trithlon.
I've done my first tri this year just the other day at the UBC Triathlon where I did Olympic distance again.
I'm planning on two more olympics, two sprints and one half iron for this year. I've registered already for the Desert Half Iron in Osoyoos for July and the others I'll pick as my training allows.
My goal is to do full Iron, possibly next year at IronMan Canada. I'll decide if I can get ready for that after doing the training for and the distance of the half in July.
I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. I see guys a heck of a lot older than me (I'm 36) out there and racing, so why can't I? |

That's a very interesting way to get involved in the sport! |

I don't know exactly how long I have been doing it. It has been a few years. I trained for a long time before I did my first triathlon. _________________ MLB Blog |
